About Mack & The Mackverse
I am a visual artist dedicated to documenting the "epic" within the ordinary. Working across the mediums of large-scale painting and cinematic photography, my practice explores the intersection of historical tradition and modern pop culture. I treat the mundane rituals of contemporary life—the morning coffee, the digital hum of a public space, or the quiet isolation of a city street—with the gravity and scale of classical mythology.
My work is characterized by a "world-building" approach. In the studio, I translate these observations into massive, narrative-driven canvases that blend a graphic, satirical edge with structured, ancient-inspired compositions. Behind the lens, I utilize my collection of vintage glass to capture the world with a cinematic, "Kubrickian" attention to symbolic detail.
Operating out of The Mackverse, my work is a continuous effort to map the suburban mythology of the 21st century—finding the monumental hidden inside the mundane.
